RACA Cloud: Privacy Policy
0. Terminology Definition
- (0.1) RACA Cloud: Related Cloud services for sharing/accessing NAS/RAID/Appliance devices from remote and OAUTH cloud middleware hooking.
- (0.2) NAS/RAID/Appliance devices: Related Physical or Virtual Network Attached Storage(NAS), Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks(RAID), Network Appliances.
- (0.3) OAUTH: An authentication mechanism which might be safer in theory requested by specific Public or Private Cloud providers, e.g. Google and Dropbox.
- (0.4) ODM/OEM Channels: The companies that sell you the NAS/RAID/Appliance devices with related RACA Cloud subscription or licenses.
- (0.5) We(our/ours): RACA Cloud RD team.
- (0.6) You(your/yours): The end customers who use the NAS/RAID/Appliance devices and RACA Cloud and related Public/Private Cloud.
(1) (Generic Policy) Your Account/Password/E-Mail
- (1.1) RACA Cloud services will NOT keep your Account/Password/E-Mail from your NAS/RAID and/or appliance devices.
- (1.2) Your account/password/e-mail will be ONLY stored in your NAS/RAID and/or appliance device.
(2) (Generic Policy) Your Data
- (2.1) RACA Cloud will NOT keep your data (files and folders) stored in your NAS/RAID and/or appliance devices.
- (2.2) Your data will be mainly stored your NAS/RAID and/or appliance device.
- (2.3) Your data might be stored in Public Cloud if you subscribed related Public Cloud (e.g. AWS/Google/Dropbox/Azure/Akamai).
- (2.4) Your data might be stored in Private Cloud if you subscribed related Private Cloud.
(3) (Generic Policy) Sessions and Cookies Tracking
- (3.1) RACA Cloud services will NOT keep any session/cookies to track your behaviors.
- (3.2) Related Cookies and Sessions data will be __ONLY__ engaged in your NAS/RAID and/or appliance devices.
(4) (Generic Policy) Logs
- (4.1) RACA Cloud might keep related logs: Some basic Access & OAUTH Logs.
- (4.2) These logs will NOT display any Account/Password/E-Mail information that stored in your NAS/RAID and/or appliance device.
- (4.2) We will use these logs(4.1) to debug and improve our services only.
- (4.3) We will NOT share or resell these logs(4.1) to any 3rd party companies.
- (4.4) We will NOT share logs with judicial departments of government or police departments of government unless there are official orders/documents.
(5) (Generic Policy) Information Security
- (5.1) RACA Cloud would try best to ensure your information security and privacy.
- (5.2) In the meanwhile, we suggest customers SHOULD follow basic/common information security ground rules:
- (5.2.1) Do not show your Share-Link/Account/Password in One-Single-Mail, please split them into two(2) mails.
- (5.2.2) Better to share password via some hard-to-hack way, e.g. mobile voice phone.
- (5.2.3) Better to share password via some hard-to-hack way, e.g. encrypt your password by another cypher-text
- (5.2.4) Do not login your Account/Password on public computers or devices. Better NOT to use ANY public computers or internet devices under most scenarios.
- (5.2.5) Do not visit any unfamiliar web sites.
- (5.2.6) Install only genuine software; Do not search on internet for any hacked-software.
- (5.2.7) Perform Malware/Virus scanning every 7 days at least; Enable real-time scanning/protection if possible.
- (5.2.8) Re-check your messages before submit them (ie. e-mail/SNS/forum), in order to ensure __NO__ confidential & privacy information is leaked.
- (5.2.9) Once OS/software vendors inform you to conduct some software updates, please plan and do it asap.
(6) (Generic Policy) Agreement and Revision
- (6.1) You must agree with __ALL__ related Service Terms, EULA and Privacy Policies(this) before using any RACA Cloud services.
- (6.2) RACA Cloud might modify related Service Terms, EULA and Privacy Policies __WITH__ notice at least 24 hours in advance around valid service subscription period. Related notification will be dispatched by corresponding ODM/OEM/Sales/Reseller channels.

(7) (Specific Policy) NAS/RAID/Storage Applications (abbr. App)

- Local Devices: Yes, NAS or related storage devices will store you Gmail account in your own storage device ONLY for System Status notifcation. In short, this is an E-Mail feature, so the "SENDER" is mandatory.
- RACA Cloud: NO, RACA Cloud will NOT store/collect/analyze your Google Account/E-Mail.
- (7.1.2) Your Google Password:
- Local Devices: NO, NAS or related storage devices will NOT store/collect/analyze your Google password.
- RACA Cloud: NO, RACA Cloud will NOT store/collect/analyze your Google password.
- (7.1.3) Your Data:
- Local Devices: Yes, that is why you bought this device for, "Store your data". But we will NOT collect or analzye these data.
- RACA Cloud: NO, RACA Cloud will NOT store/collect/analyze your data.
- (7.1.4) Cookies:
- Local Devices: Yes, there might be cookies yet it is ONLY FOR Tracking login session to achieve auto-logout for information security.
- RACA Cloud: NO, RACA Cloud will NOT create any cookies for now.
- (7.1.5) Debug Logs:
- Local Devices: Yes, in order to provide better services, and these logs will NOT contain the "NO" or "NOT" part mentioned above.

- (7.4.1) RACA NAS Remote Access APP is a proprietary software and service that collaberate with private/proprietary cloud, please contact with your vendors for related privacy policies and EULA.
